Dr. Fergus Craik - Resarch
In 1975, Dr. Craik enjoyed considerable success with his experimental model, collaborating with the likes of Dr. Endel Tulving and Dr. Bob Lockhart on Levels of Processing-related topics. However, his first research interest seemed to hold true, and Dr. Craik eventually returned to studying memory proficiency during the process of aging.
Dr. Craik was fascinated by research findings in which aged individuals performed better or worse than their younger counterparts, but was particularly attracted to results showing no differences at all. From this, he contemplated the "remembering to remember" approach to his research, and focused on aged individuals' ability to remember to perform a certain task at a later time.
