Dr. Fergus Craik - Presently
Presently, Dr. Craik is associated with the Rotman-Baycrest Institute as well as the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto. He mainly studies normal aging, with a side interest in brain damage. He is interested in MRI and PET scans in aging individuals as well as traditional measures of cognitive processing.
Dr. Craik is satisfied with his current career, and reflects on accepting a graduate position at Liverpool in lieu of a "real job" with an advertising firm. "I was actually offered the [advertising] job and had provisionally accepted it when I was told that, unfortunately, the budget for the position had not been approved. So, in a way, the [University of Liverpool] was my second choice, and it is interesting to reflect on the role of chance in a career."
