Dr. Ian Whishaw - Presently

Dr. Whishaw, at age 65, must retire, a fact he vehemently dislikes. Ever since he was a child, Ian Whishaw has dared to perform acts restricted to different age groups, and tested the limits of policy and policy-makers. It is not surprising, then, that Dr. Whishaw's aims for the future are less academic and more administrative. "I consider that ageism is a major violation of human rights and it is ingrained in the fabric of most Canadian Universities. For example, young faculty members are paid substantially less for the same work compared to older faculty members. [...] Were I to have any influence to change anything, it would be to end systemic institutional ageism."
