Dr. Sandra Witelson - Early Academics

Dr. Witelson "always liked school, always." She was involved throughout high school in various clubs such as the French club, the debate club, and the music club. She carried her interest in debate to McGill University after high school. She says, on choosing one of Canada’s best schools for her undergrad, "I didn’t pick McGill because I had done a lot of research into what was out there, I went there because it was the local University."

While that may have been the case, Sandra took advantage of her time at McGill and completed an honours degree in psychology. "When my cohort and I graduated, we were young and over-confident or arrogant, we thought we knew everything about psychology." Looking back, she says, "I can’t believe I ever thought that."
