Let's talk turkey! It's that time of year and we are ramping up to the Turkey Challenge. The Department of Psychology's Gay Bisanz Memorial Turkey Challenge will run November 23rd to December 7th in support of the CBC Turkey Drive which donates proceeds to the Edmonton Food Bank.
We have won the Turkey Spirit Award as top corporate team many times over the years and last year was our best year to date raising an outstanding $8,237.56. With the continued downturn in the economy the need is great this year and I encourage everyone to help us make this the best one yet!
Bonnie Whitehead and Lisa Smithson, with Dayuma Vargas Lascano's able guidance, have volunteered to organize the popular Pie-A-Prof event and the lucky "winner" will be pied on the last day of class as usual. The crafters and the bakers are already planning their wares. Gift baskets and raffle items will be gratefully accepted right away and I will soon bombard you with event updates.
Please let me know what you and your teams are planning and if you need support for your event. And, of course, send in your fabulous fundraising ideas! Thank you all and my regards. Gobble, gobble,
Kerrie Johnston Link to the current Pie-A-Prof standings
