Welcome to my University of Alberta laboratory web page. My students, staff and I study cerebral ischemia and especially hemorrhagic stroke with the aims of reducing cell death (neuroprotection) and promoting behavioral recovery (neuroplasticity, rehabilitation). We use animal models and a wide array of research techniques and tools to better understand the pathophysiology of these brain injuries, and to comprehensively test potential therapies in our pre-clinical studies. Please use the links above to learn more.
