Dr. Frances Aboud - Personally

Dr. Aboud on marriage: "I took my time and it was well worth the wait." Her husband, who shares her interest in world health, and their two children remained together during Dr. Aboud's sabbatical in Saidpur, Bangladesh (as well as in Ethiopia) and enjoyed themselves as a family during their stay in the third world.

Dr. Aboud's children, now university age, are credited with showing Dr. Aboud that children "are ordinary beings, rather than the angels we would like them to be." Dr. Aboud has never experimented on her own children but, in her own words, "I have carefully observed them going about their business as I try to figure out how children think."
