• Term paper: 30%
• Final examination: 35%

Assignments will be graded using a numerical scale rather than the nine-point grading system. The instructor will assign one of the nine-point grades at the end of the course based upon a combination of a priori expectations and the general distribution of marks common for 400-level courses.
