Jan has a rotten memory. Sometimes she can't remember a phone
number between looking it up and pressing the buttons on the phone.
A prospective employer wants her to take an intelligence test that includes
a short-term memory test like the one you just completed. Help Jan
"study" for the "test." How should she approach the task to maximize
her performance? In your advice to Jan, explain the task, the function
of the task, and memory strategies that might be useful.

The Sexual Assault Centre has identified a number of young women who may have been victims of
"date rape." The Centre suspects they were administered rohypnol or some other date rape drug
while out with the same young man.
None of the women can explicitly recall the sexual assault and none have submitted to medical examination
for the alleged assault. Design a study to test whether the women have any implicit memory for the assault and their assailant.
