Did you experience masking? Stan is the father of one of your friends.
Stan was a lead singer in a punk band throughout high school and university but now he's
a sales executive. Stan never seems to hear what his wife, Ruth, is saying even though
he has absolutely no trouble hearing Hockey Night in Canada. Explain to Ruth why Stan isn't
(necessarily) "wife deaf."
