Dr. Stanley Coren
Dr. Coren, a deeply devoted dog lover, is perhaps best known for his many books about dogs. In 1994, Dr. Coren released The Intelligence of Dogs, which rank ordered dogs from most to least intelligent. Interestingly, the book asserts that living with a smarter dog may actually be more difficult than a less intelligent dog because a smart dog is likely to know better how to get attention — both positive and negative — from the owner. This book was very popular, and Dr. Coren’s many television appearances made him feel like a celebrity, “You know, like Paris Hilton with no hair!”
