Courses I'm Teaching

I am a Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta. As such, my primary function is to serve as an instructor. Take the link to the left for a list of the current course I'm teaching and past courses I've offered.

Although my earlier research interests focussed on spatial representation, primarily in lower animals (e.g., insects and fish), I have become more interested in evolutionary psychology questions and the application of learning theory to the field of advertising. Most research that I currently conduct is done in conjunction with undergraduate students working on independent research topics. More generally, my background is in the field of learning and behaviour, although I consider my approach to be closer to the ethological tradition than that of comparative psychology.
