Psycholinguistic Research
There are many projects underway here at the lab that explore many new facets of linguistic cognition. Here is a current list:

ALFAB
The Alberta Language Function Assessment Battery, a new way of assessing the performance of aphasics.
High dimensional models of lexical semantics
A model of some aspects of the mental lexicon that uses the satistical analysis of word co-occurence to model word meaning.
Prosody
An investigation into the way that women and men differ in their use of prosodic information.

Psychological Research Methodology Research
This type of research involves investigating new ways to design and analyze psychological research:

NUANCE 
The Naturalistic University of Alberta Nonlinear Correlation Explorer, an analytical tool that can find relationships between variables by searching the solution space using evolutionary algorithms.
