why APA style?
The guidelines that we use in psychology come from the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. We refer to these rules as APA style.
APA style provides a common framework that readers can use to make sense of your work. For example, APA style for headings help a reader understand the organization of your paper, and APA style for references can aid a reader in finding the sources you have used in your paper.
Journal articles are also written in APA style. Once you have mastered APA style, you will find it much easier to read journal, and other technical articles.
